James McCallum married Janet Moir on 31 December 1896 and the marriage was registered in 1897 in the Calton district of Glasgow, Scotland.^[2] James lived at 109 Abercrombie Street in Glasgow and was employed as a Biscuit Tin Maker. His parents were Malcom McCallum, Boilermaker (deceased), and Margaret (Leitch) McCallum. Janet also lived at 109 Abercrombie Street in Glasgow and was employed as a Yarn Winder. Her parents were John Moir, Slater, and Janet (Glass) Moir.

Later worked as a Steelworker, according to family records.

Died of Coronary Artery Disease.
