Alex McCallum has Scottish Ancestors.

Alexander was born in 1868. He is the son of Archibald McCallum and Marcella Cameron.

Grenfell Record and Lachlan District Advertiser, Thursday 13 January 1938 ^[1] Obituary - Mr. Alex McCallum The death occurred at Eastwood yesterday of Mr. Alex McCallum, uncle of Mrs. W. M. Armstrong. Deceased, with his brother (Mr. Jack McCallum) formerly owned "Woodlands" Bimbi and "Ravensleigh" (Eualdire Road), afterwards going on to a property at Eugowra. From there the late Mr. McCallum went to live at Eastwood. His wife predeceased him some years ago, a son surviving, Mr. Jack McCallum (Bribbaree) is a brother, and surviving sisters are Mrs. Burrett and Mrs. Allen (Campsie). The late Mr. McCallum was a well known resident of Grenfell district, and very popular. For years he was a member of St Andrew's Presbyterian Church choir, and as a concert singer was much in demand.
