Biography

Margaret, born in Scotland in 1797,[1] was the daughter of original Lord Selkirk settlers Donald McCallum and Mary Morrison. She was the sister of

  • Hugh (Lydia Ward of Port Huron, Michigan),
  • Isabella (William Harson of Harson's Island),
  • Flora (Angus Mcdougall),
  • Emily,
  • Anna (George Little). Annie died in 1870 at age 71 and was buried on her farm in a family plot. At the time of her death, the farm was owned by her grandson George Mickle.

Margaret married James Johnson on Feb 17, 1817. They lived on Lot #3 1st concession of Sombra (North Gore of Chatham at Johnson's Bend).[2] [3]

She died in 1891.[4]
