Pat McCallum is a graduate of the Scotland Tartan Trail II.
Pat was born in 1954 at Toowoomba, the eighth child and sixth son of Colin and Molly McCallum.
Pat's God-Parents at Baptism were the noted architect Frank Cullen and his wife Mary. He was apparently a sickly child and was baptised in St. Vincent's Hospital, Toowoomba, Queensland on 29 August 1954.
Pat's father was a high school teacher and principal in the Queensland State education system. This entailed regular changes of address. After being born in Toowoomba, Pat's school years were spent in Mackay, Charters Towers, Gladstone and the Redcliffe Peninsular. After a period of full-time post-secondary study in Brisbane, Pat commenced work as an accounts clerk and accountant in Brisbane mainly with deviations in Papua New Guinea and the Federated States of Micronesia.
Pat is currently semi-retired and lives in the Redlands City, Queensland.

It is once again time for our annual Scotland Project check-in. Please respond within the next three weeks to let us know:
•If you would like to continue as a project member •If you are happy with your current teams or would you like to join a different team •How much time per month (on average) you spend working on Scottish profiles •Anything you’d like the Scotland Project to do more of in the future
You can respond to this message by posting a reply below or sending me a private message on WikiTree. If we don’t hear from you within the next three weeks we’ll assume your interests have changed or you are no longer able to participate in the Scotland Project at this time, and your badge will be removed. If your circumstances change later you will be welcome to reapply for membership.
On behalf of the Scotland Project, I would like to thank you for your commitment to the project's goals. Every single contribution you make helps improve Scottish profiles!
Apologies for my tardy response. I would still like to be a member of the Scotland Project. At the moment I cannot commit to completing the Tartan Trail. I expended a huge effort undertaking my Montgomery profile and still have some trimming to do to bring it up to expectations. In the mean time I have shared my extensive research on the Montgomeries with others recently and that is contributing to other updates to Montgomerie profiles in WikiTree. They originally contacted me through the profiles I was working on. I was pleased that my work didn't go to waste. There is a higher bar for the TT profiles which is beyond my motivation to reach while I have other basic WikiTree work to spend my time on. Connecting, basic tree building, matching sourced trees to DNA relatives.
I am hoping that I can retain he sticker for TT2 level completion. I took some pride in my completions and learned a lot from my mentors in undertaking those levels.
We're delighted you're staying with the project and thank you for all your work on the Montgomerie profiles. Of course you can retain your sticker for completion of Level II of the Tartan Trail - that's an achievement no-one can take away from you.
Congratulations on certifying to work on pre-1700 profiles! It’s very important to read and understand https://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Help:Pre-1700_Profiles. These profiles for deep ancestors are shared by many, and collaborating on them works best if we all follow the guidelines laid out on that page.
Hi Pat, my biological grandfather was William Wallace McEwan c1885, his father was also William Wallace McEwan c 1855 This has me wondering if they were somehow related to William Wallace the Scottish hero?
If you come across a link to him would you please let me know.
regards
Max Bancroft
Hi Max. Interesting thought. You will see that I reached the McEwan's building out from the Connors my dad's grand mother's family. I don't expect to work that space anytime soon. I'm also not yet experienced in old country research.
Hi Pat, thank you for adding the two requests for ship categories on our page, however to add the categories, I need links to the two profiles that want the categories added to them. Thanks, Margaret.
