May was born in 1873.^[1] She was the daughter of Alexander McCallum and Elizabeth Yates. She passed away in 1965.^[2]

McCALLUM.—On the 24th April, at her residence, Breakfast Creek, Mrs. A. McCallum, of a daughter.^[3]

In 1895 May married Herbert Arthur Hassall.^[4][5]

HASSALL—McCALLUM.—On the 5th October, at St. John's Cathedral, by the Rev. Canon Stone-Wigg, Herbert Hassall, to May McCallum.^[6]

May and her son Herbert Hill were the executors on her husband's estate.

HERBERT ARTHUR HASSALL, late of Capper Street. Gayndah. in the State of Queensland, Grazier. Deceased. After fourteen clear days from to-day MAY MOHR HASSALL of Capper Street. Gayndah in the State of Queensland, Widow and HERBERT HASSALL, of "Toondahra," near Gayndah aforesaid, Grazier, the Lawful Widow and the Lawful Son. respectively, of the said deceased, the Executors appointed by the deceased's will dated the Sixth day of April. One thousand Nine Hundred and Forty-nine, will apply to the Supreme Court, Brisbane, for Probate of this Will.
