My family tree is private but I want to collaborate on deep ancestors or historical figures.
As you have been a member of WikiTree for a few weeks now I thought I would check in to see how you are getting on with the site.
Has the New Member How-To been helpful or left you with any questions?

Ginny, a problem I cannot submit on a template because supposedly the two space profiles I have been working on don't exist?
I have an issue with re-using an image Coorparoo_Brisbane_Queensland.png originally loaded to the space profile Space:Coorparoo%2C_Brisbane%2C_Queensland , and wishing to use it on another. The system doesn't recognise the space profile I want to share with, displaying the message:
Unable to find a Person or Space record for Space:House%2C_Coorparoo%2C_Queensland
Appreciate your insights on the issues: why space records cannot be found/recognised in the system, and hopefully if this is solved then I can share the image across profiles.
Bruce, I do not have experience with this but one of our Leaders suggested this fix:
Note that if the IDs have special characters, e.g. periods and commas, you will need to enter them like "Space:St. Stephen Church, Toledo, Ohio" instead of "Space:St._Stephen_Church%2C_Toledo%2C_Ohio".
If this suggestion does not work, please let me know.
Ginny, thanks for this. The whole matter has tested my patience. The system prompted me to enter the space profile details in the format Space:House%2C_Coorparoo%2C_Queensland when it indicated there was a similar (actually the same) image in existence which had been loaded to another free space profile. Not then sure why I would think to do something else other than follow the on-screen instructions. Do I use the name of the page or the ID?
Somehow, I think by copying the ID from the 2nd column of my watchlist table, and entering it in the second of the spaces against the image, I have now linked the image. Use a few images as possible I think.....Much appreciate the opportunity to seek assistance. Bruce
I have checked with the Greeter group and the suggestion is that you post this issue in the G2G Forum. There are members there with a wide variety of experience in all areas including Space Pages. I feel sure that you will receive help from someone there. I will monitor the forum and look forward to seeing the issue resolved for you.
I am very pleased to welcome you to the WikiTree family, your contributions will go a long way to joining the world together.
I would suggest starting with the New Member How-To pages, they will save you a lot of time and frustration.
I am here to answer any question you have, no matter how trivial you may think it is. There is no such thing as a silly question. Please add as much information as you can, it all helps to turn a “name” back into a person. I hope you enjoy the site as much as I do.
Hi. Could you advise on a free-space profile. The text is truncated in the public and private views, but all text is visible in edit mode. Also, when I use the link to associate it with an image on another free space profile, it says it cannot find it.
I have asked for help with this one, because I was unsure of the answer, she had a look and with the truncation, can you check the inline references on the page, you may have opened the reference and not closed it. it should start <ref> then put the source in here then close it </ref> .Also you will need to add this
Sources with 2 = before and after the word Sources
<references/>
That way the sources have somewhere to go.
Also there is a typo in the code it should be htpps:// and not https:\
I hope it works this time, any problems, please let me know
Thank you Karen. Yes, an open reference was the issue preventing the further display of text. Thank you for your assistance. I am still to check about the association of this profile to an image on another free space profile. Hopefully that will be solved with this first resolution.
Karen. Still some issue with re-using an image originally loaded to the space profile Space:Coorparoo%2C_Brisbane%2C_Queensland , and wishing to use it on another. The system doesn't recognise the space profile I want to share with, displaying the message:
