The History of the Montgomery Settlers and others at Stanhope, Covehead and Brackley Point says that Dugald and Margaret arrived on the Island on the Falmouth, around 1770, or earlier with the Shaw family. There is a D McCallum, but without a family on the passenger list. Passenger List for the Falmouth, transcribed on the Island Register. http://www.islandregister.com/falmouth.html. However, the article in the Island Magazine, The "Falmouth" Passengers by Andrew B. W. MacEwen has McCallum listed with the single men.
