Biography
Mary was born about 1840 in County Antrim, Northern Ireland. Together with her husband Neil O'Boyle and 8 children - Mary aged 13, Kaye aged 11, Neil aged 8, Margaret aged 8, Francis aged 6, Patrick aged 4, Sarah aged 2 and Rose aged 1 yr, she emigrated to New Zealand on the ship 'Orari" in 1878. A further 6 children were born in New Zealand. They lived in South Canterbury where they owned several farms. ... She passed away in 1912. [1]
