Biography

Jacob was born in 1850 in Henderson County, North Carolina. He is the son of Jacob Lafayette McCarson (1810-1894) and Mary Lourania (Smith) McCarson (1810-abt.1904). He was a minister. He married Laura Savannah (Corn) McCarson (1857-1926) on January 30, 1872 in Henderson County, North Carolina. [1] Jacob passed away on May 24, 1926 in Hendersonville, Henderson, North Carolina at age 76. [2] He was buried at Shaws Creek Baptist Church Cemetery, Hendersonville, North Carolina.
