Denis, born about 1775 in Ireland, emigrated to Upper Canada (Ontario) with his family in 1825 aboard the Fortitude as part of the Peter Robinson Settlers group. The ship's records indicate that he had been a laborer in Brigown, County Cork. He was travelling with his wife Johanna and seven children.[1]
He passed away in 1839.[2]
