Biography

Truman, son of Charles Edwin McCartney and Annie Frances King, was born on 21 Oct 1907 in Red Bluff, Tehama, California, United States.^[1]

1910 finds the family on Breckenridge Street in Red Bluff Ward 1, in Tehama County, California. In the home were OE McCartney(35 head), Annie mcCartney(34 wife), Allonzo McCartney(13 son), Charles McCartney(13 son), Charles McCartney(8 son), Sherwood McCartney(6 son), Creston McCartney(4 son), and Truman McCartney(2 son) ^[2]

In 1920 he and his parents were living on thesouth Fork of Cottonwood Creek in Cottonwood, Tehama, California. In the home were Charles McCartney(44 head), Anna McCartney(43 Wife), Charles McCartney(17 son), Creston McCartney(16 Son), Sherwood McCartney(14 Son), Truman McCartney(12 son), and Genevia McCartney(3 daughter)^[3]
