DNA Connections
It may be possible to confirm family relationships with Eleanor by comparing test results with other carriers of her mitochondrial DNA.
However, there are no known mtDNA test-takers in her direct maternal line.
It is likely that these autosomal DNA test-takers will share some percentage of DNA with Eleanor:
McCarty-2534 and McCarty-2014 appear to represent the same person because: they were both born in South Carolina, both apparently married a man name Schilling, both had a son named Jacob Schilling, both died in 1853 in Washington, Louisiana. The only detail to work out is the birth date is 8 years apart. But with everything else considered, they are the same person, and one, if not both of those birth dates are wrong. Oh, and neither has any sources!
