Evangeline Clapp McCarty was born o May 5, 1878, in Emporia, Kansas to William Thaddeus and Celia Olivia (West) McCarty. She married William Washington Brunswick on April 26, 1920, in Emporia, Kansas. She died on January 11, 1942, in Baltimore, Maryland at the age of 63, and was buried in Maplewood Memorial Lawn Cemetery in Emporia, Kansas.
