Biography

Zipporah McColley seems to have been the second daughter of Robert Watson McColley and Anthelina (Unknown) McColley. She was probably born around 1766 ^[1]

Zipporah was already married by 1811 when her father Robert Watson McColley left her a bequest:

Fourth. I give and bequeath unto my Daughter Zipporah Tindal all the goods and Chattels she has already received, Except a negro Girl Jaein and noe more of my estate.

Research Notes

Don't believe she is Thomas's mother but is listed as the mom all over the internet The dates don't work for me.

Believe she could be stepmother. See [1] which profile identifies Zepporah (McColley) Tindall as the "stepmother" of Maria and as many as 14 others
