Anna was born in 1800 in Hampshire. Virginia. She was the daughter of Cornelius McCauley and Mary Butler. She married David Bosley in 1822 in Hampshire, Virginia and they had six children together:

Priscilla Sillar Bosley (1826-1915)
William Bosley (1827-?)
David Jackson Bosley (1834-1901)
Sarah Ann Bosley (1834-?)
Cornelius Ashford Bosley (1836-1920)
She passed away in 1881 in Union District, Grant, West Virginia and is buried in the David Bosley Cemetery in Grant County, West Virginia
