As a McClanahan, and keeping up our family tree, I'm interested in following this particular tag.
Sean McClanahan's DNA has been tested for genealogical purposes. It may be possible to confirm family relationships by comparing test results with Sean or other carriers of his ancestors' Y-chromosome or mitochondrial DNA.
It is likely that these autosomal DNA test-takers will share DNA with Sean:

I believe that your Jesse Allman, b. Apr. 8, 1822, (Allman-275) may be the Jesse Allman married to Esther (Haines) Allman, b. March 17, 1825, (Allman-995). Esther and Jesse Allman were from Columbiana County, Ohio. I believe they moved from there to Iowa. If Allman-275 is indeed the same Jesse Allman, could you add him as Esther's spouse. Thanks, Joann H.
