Hi Barbara, my ancestors are also Hickling, from Sutton Bonnington, Nottinghamshire, England. For instance, Bartholomew Hickling born abt1600 married Anne Spencer in 20th May 1625.... his son Aaron Hickling my 7th great grand father, his son Thomas, etc... till Thomas ( Sale ) Hickling born in Boston, New England, in 21 february 1725, and went to St. Michaels, Azores were he died ( my 4th great grand father ), etc...

Does this Hickling's are relationed with your's? At least are from the same area in England, I supose. Kind regards José Manuel Bela Morais, Lisbon, Portugal

Hi Barbara, Could you please include the sources for the birth and death dates for Mary Walker (Walker-25918)?

HI Barbara,

Could you tell me which meeting records record documents Martha (White) Lippincott's death? I'd like to add the source to her page. It helps others to find it. Thanks for your help with her page. Warm Regards, Carrie

Hi Barbara,

Thank you for self-certifying for the Pre-1700 badge! Participation in a project is strongly encouraged for those wishing to edit Pre-1700 profiles.

It looks like England would be a good fit with the tag you entered. Adding the tag England will help you get updates about activity for that project.

Is there a particular time period, location, or topic you're interested in? Do you have some historically-significant ancestors? Look at the list of active projects to see if one fits your needs.

Do you have any questions? Let me know. I'm happy to help! :-)

Hi Barbara,

We've made a change in how the tutorials are sent to new members. Instead of weekly messages you can now work at your own pace.

How is it going so far? Have the How-Tos been helpful or left you with questions?

We want to help! Click my name, then ask in the comment section of my page.

Debi ~ WikiMessenger

PS Sometimes links don't work in emails. You can always find a link that works in the public comments on your profile.

Hello Barbara,

Welcome to week four!

You may have been hard at work getting connected to family members who are already here and adding those who were missing. You probably have at least a few profiles that you manage now.

There's a fast and easy way to access those profiles using the Watchlist. So, this week we're going to look at How to Manage Your Watchlist.

Please let one of us know if you have questions! Just click my name above the comment, then ask in the comment section of my page. We want to help!

You've been here for several weeks now! We hope your profiles are coming together and you've enjoyed getting to know us a little better.

You're getting a good feel for the collaborative nature of WikiTree by now and collaboration isn't always easy. So, we've put together a few pointers that can make working in this type of environment a little easier: How to be a Successful WikiTreer.

Questions?? Just ask! If the above link does not work from your email, please go to your profile in the public comments and it will work from there.

Thanks, Cindy

PS-Good work so far! Have you noticed on ancestor profiles on bottom right is "Research" where you can get sources and more information? Give it a try!

Barbara

It's time for your next stop on the guided tour!

This week, we'd like to show you How to Join in the Community. There's no shortage of opportunities to get involved through social media, our forum, and projects.

Be sure to check out the One Name Studies Project to see if anyone has started a project for one of the surnames in your family. Don't see one? Follow the instructions for starting your own!

Please let me know if you have questions. :-) If the above link does not work from your email, please go to your profile in the public comments and it will work from there.

Thanks, WikiMessenger Cindy
