Biography
When John Joseph Henry McClellan was born on March 5, 1808, in Gettysburg, Pennsylvania, his father, William, was 44 and his mother, Mary, was 40. He had one son with Martha Mary Blakely in 1838. He died on June 1, 1889, in his hometown, having lived a long life of 81 years, and was buried there.
