Coreen started with her genealogy obsession over 8 years ago with Ancestry. She was searching for her grandfather's Irish kin- namely a mysterious man named James McGinnis O'Reilly, who arrived in the US between 1832-1836. This was illustrated to her on a small piece of paper with a sketch of the O'Reilly Coat-of-arms. Unfortunately, her sweet Grandfather was known to have a wee too much of the Irish and may not have been credible.

Instead she was able to track down the story of her Father's Father. Harry W. Blewett chose to live on the streets of Santa Barbara, CA . He was estranged from his children. Today, Harry Ray Blewett has embraced his very dramatic and exciting Blewett family roots and is even more addicted that his daughter. Who, by the way, has still not found James.

In her real life, Coreen is a Native Californian and is a mother of 3 children ages 22,17,and 15. She is a Nurse Practitioner, who loves her work. She has many pets- including an imported Icelandic gelding.

Her family is mostly of English/Irish descent, her Paternal GG was from Denmark. This was all accepted and understood until the new DNA results came in from Ancestry. Coreen says that she will be undergoing a new DNA test to compare the results.

The surnames she is working on include Maternal: Riley/O'Reilly Miller Yeager/Yager Foster Dickey Randolph

Paternal: Blewett Neal Simmons Adams Larsen Jensen

Hi again Coreen,

Thanks for taking the Pre-1700 Quiz!

Pre-1700 ancestors are shared by many descendants, so working with the projects which coordinate them is essential. You can learn more about joining the community in How To #3 and in the Project FAQ.

Your ancestors are from all over, so I would recommend taking a look at the Pre-1700 Projects list to find one which best fits your current research focus.

The project pages have resources and guidelines as well as info about how to collaborate with the project members.

Have questions? Click my name, then ask in the comments on my profile.

Welcome Coreen

I am pleased to confirm you as a full member, and welcome you to the WikiTree family as your contributions will go a long way to joining the world together.

I would suggest starting with the New Member How-To pages, they will save you a lot of time and frustration.

I am here to help answer any question you have, no matter how trivial you may think it is. There is no such thing as a silly question. Add as much information as you can, it all helps to turn a “name” back into a person. I hope you enjoy the site

Happy tree climbing
