There are statements made in the biography below which indicate that this profile is imaginative rather than historical -
"William MacLellan was a Military Guard in Scotland and Land border guard in Wales" - a "Military Guard" is not a British military term, the Guards regiments are based in London. [1] There was no requirement for the border between Wales and England to be guarded.
"William and Margaret were moved to Wales by the ruling party of the day." The Scots Guards did serve in Ireland and Flanders in the 17th C. but not in Wales. "The ruling party of the day" were the Whigs of Walpole's Parliament

William MacLellan - 9th Great Grandfather was born in Scotland and died in Wales. His occupation was Military Guard in Scotland and Land border guard in Wales. He married Margaret Gordon in 1701 and their first child Helen was born in 1702 and Wilbert in 1705. William and Margaret were moved to Wales by the ruling party of the day. They left their two children with William's brother Reginald MacLellan in Craignish to raise as his own. Once settled in Wales they had one more child named Gordie in 1709....
