Research Notes
Original reference to McClure DNA Project was a dead link. Located McClure DNA Project on familytreedna.com and replaced the dead link with new one.[2] Note the James Andrew McClure on this DNA chart was born about 1660 (not 1570) in Raphoe, Ireland. (Strutton-11 15:51, 16 June 2022 (UTC))
Death place, Augusta County, Virginia, removed. Its use is about 100 years too early, Augusta formed from Orange County in 1738. (Strutton-11 15:51, 16 June 2022 (UTC))
No source has been found in any early Virginia records to show that James Andrew McClure was in Virginia in the early 1600s. I think it possible he may have been confused with James Andrew Arthur McClure (abt.1660-1738) who was born about 1660 in Raphoe, Ireland. (Strutton-11 15:51, 16 June 2022 (UTC))
