DNA Connections
It may be possible to confirm family relationships with Thomas by comparing test results with other carriers of his Y-chromosome or his mother's mitochondrial DNA. However, there are no known yDNA or mtDNA test-takers in his direct paternal or maternal line. It is likely that these autosomal DNA test-takers will share some percentage of DNA with Thomas:

I think it looks like John McClure (1801-1881) is not a sibling of the children listed here based on DNA not matching up. Not clear where the error is yet. Needs research.

There is no primary source showing marriage to Sarah McGaha - no evidence sited showing this is correct spouse. The familysearch reference has zero sources for marriage.

except for the DNA trail - you are correct. Please stop making changes to my family tree. I don't recall inviting you.

Sorry, its not “your tree” - not how wikitree works - one tree we all share…. Autosomal DNA has to be supported by primary sources, it is insufficient by itself at this distance. Also, our DNA does not match on Ancestry so that sort of adds evidence McGaha is wrong.

I cannot validate his birth or death date, but have lots of documentation of his life.
