When Thomas McClure was born on July 17, 1738, his father, John, was 26 and his mother, Elizabeth, was 31. [citation needed]
He married Zilpha Leach on 11 Oct 1762 [1] or 4 Nov 1762 [2] in Sturbridge, Massachusetts.
He died on August 10, 1794, in Middletown Springs, Vermont, at the age of 56. [3]
Thomas was buried in Middletown Springs Cemetery, Middletown Springs, Rutland, Vermont [4]
Research Notes
There was a Thomas McClure, brother of James, born in Scotland. Thomas and his brother, James, natives of Scotland, came to Boston Massachusetts (at this time there were 3 brothers). The three of them went to Wallingford, Vermont. Eventually Thomas and James settled in Middletown, Vermont in 1779. [5]
