Obituary.
MRS ETHEL FERGUSON.
A very sad death occurred at Mitre Lake on Monday week, when Mrs Ethel Ferguson, wife of Mr Matthew Ferguson, passed away.
On the previous Saturday she complained of illness, and lapsed into unconsciousness soon afterwards, and did not regain consciousness, the cause of death being septic poisoning supervening on pneumonia. The deceased lady had been confined only a week before, and leaves a widower and three children—two boys and a baby girl—to mourn their loss.
The late Mrs Ferguson was born at Harrow 31 years ago, being a daughter of Mr Wm McClure, of Mitre Lake. She came to Mitre Lake with her parents about 20 years ago, and was married on May 7, 1918. For her unassuming good nature she was esteemed by all who knew her.
The funeral took place to the Tooan cemetery on Wednesday.[4]
Her grave in the Tooan Cemetery bears a headstone. [5] Other Mcclure family members appear to be buried there, too.
