Anne was born in 1907 in Martinborough, Wairarapa, New Zealand, to parents Annie Nellie McClure and William Gerald McClure a fruiterer. [1]
In 1930 she was a passenger in a small car accident. The driver of the vehicle she was in was temporarily blinded by on-coming traffic and ran into the back of a car parked on the verge while its driver cleared the windshield. A young woman in the back seat of the car they hit was seriously injured and had to be rushed to a private hospital in Palmerston North. Annie was unhurt but likely shaken, the young man sitting next to her in the back seat was Arthur Liddell Oliver. [2]
Annie married Arthur Liddell Oliver in 1930. The marriage lasted 47 years. [3]
1947 - Annie and her husband were visitors to Wanganui to attend the wedding of friends (Nelson-Brown). [4]
They remained in their hometown of Palmerston North for a number of years. Then made a move to Hutt Valley in Wellington. Annie worked there as a Shop Assistant. [5]
Annie passed away on 8 Aug 1977 she was 70 years old. She was buried as Annie rather than Anne. She was laid to rest in Taita Cemetery, General Burial, Block 09, Row F, Plot 24. Arthur joined her there in 2002. [6]
