Biography

Jefferson was born June 21, 1861 in Missouri and was the son of John David McCollum and Jane Baker^[1].

He married Elizabeth Taylor February 2,1883 in Grays Harbor, Washington^[2][3]. They had 9 children: Mabel, Pearl, Earl, Vella, Oris, Easter, Minnie, William J. and Edward. In 1900 Jeff's occupation is logger and the family lives in Grays Harbor, Washington. Jeff and wife Lizzie are both 37 years old^[4]. In 1910 the family lives in Elma, Washington. Jeff is a logger and son Oris is an engineer in a logging camp. Lizzie and 5 of their children are living there^[5]. Still a logger in a longing camp in 1920, Jefferson is 56 years old. He and Lizzie live in Elma still with their 2 youngest sons, William and Edward, daughter Florence, her husband Willaiam Vanderpool and their daughter Lucile, and daughter Easter and her husband Laverne Foss^[6].

Jefferson Davis McCollum died March 16, 1925 ^[7] and is buried in Elma IOFF cemetery. ^[8] He was about 63 years old.
