When Ruth McConkey was born on November 15, 1810, in Wayne, Ohio, her father, Thomas McConkey , was 29, and her mother, Elizabeth Hague, was 25. She had three sons and three daughters with William Robert McFarland between 1832 and 1846. She died in 1889 in Big Prairie, Ohio, having lived a long life of 79 years, and was buried there.^[1]
