Biography
Archibald was born about 1685 in County Londonderry, Ireland. He was the son of John McCool and Unknown Unknown.[1]
Most of the information we have about Archibald is speculative. As the eldest son of John McCool, he inherited the Hillmount Farm in Toberhead Ireland. He had one younger full sibling, John Jr, and seven known younger half-siblings.
Nothing is known about his wife. His eldest son, John, was named after Archibald's father - and Hillmount Farm was eventually passed to him.
Archibald probably had other children, possibly including sons named George, Owen, Hugh, and Luke.
He may have died about 1740, presumably in County Londonderry.
