In 1873 Hugh (Hines) married his second wife, Bridget Mary McCormack. Bridget was born in 1854 at Richlands, Taralga, north of Goulburn. She was the daughter of Michael McCormack and Mary Milan. According to Bridget's death certificate, Hugh's and Bridget's three children, Hugh, Mary Ellen and Hannah were born in 1875, 1880 and 1884. However, Hugh senior died in January 1882 at Guniga, near Hillston, in western NSW, and is buried at Hillston. Birth certificates for Hugh and Mary Ellen indicate that they were born at Cullinga, near Cootamundra, in south western NSW. The marriage certificate for Hannah Nora O'Neill Hines indicates that she was born at Hillston and that her parents were Hugh Hines and Bridget Mary McCormack. Bridget died in 1938 and is buried at Bannockburn, near Inverell, in northern NSW. [1]
