Biography

Michael McCormack was born in 1894 in Churchpark, Taghmaconnell^[1]. He was the son of Michael McCormack and Elizabeth McManus. He had five siblings, two of whom died in infancy. He grew up in a three roomed thatched cottage in Taghmaconnell^[2]. There were stables, a cow house and a piggery on his father's small farm^[3].
