Rose was born in Manhattan in 1913. She lived for many years in New York City, in The Bronx, where she was primarily a homemaker, but also worked for a while in an office (at which time she met her husband Howard) and later at an apparel retail shop. In 1958 she moved to New Brunswick and then Piscataway NJ. She and her husband Howard spent the early years of their retirement in Port Charlotte, FL before moving back to New Jersey where they settled in in Hamilton.
Rose was a lifetime member of the Ladies Auxiliary of the Veterans of Foreign Wars, and with her beloved late husband Howard, she was very active in the activities of the Elks Club in New York, New Jersey, and Florida. She was also a member of Club Harmony in New York. Rose died at the Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital in Hamilton, NJ - the same hospital at which her husband Howard died, in 2004.
