1917 John was living in Lyndonville, Wisconsin in 1917 when he registered for the US World War I draft. He was a single man working as a farmer. John was described as short and slender with blue eyes and dark hair.[1]
1930 John was considered the head of the household in 1930. He was still single and still lived in Seven Mile Creek, Juneau County, Wisconsin, USA. He ran a general farm with the help of his younger brother Francis. The household comprised:
