Biography
John was born in 1850 in River Inhabitants, Nova Scotia. He is the son of Angus McCormick and Christina McDonald. He married Catherine MacMaster about 1882. In 1891 they are living in River Inhabitants with their two children, Maggie and Angus and another child, Jim Nolty(?) who was born in the United States. Also in the household is an 80 year old widow, Margaret Beaton.
In 1901 John and Catherine and their two children continue to live in River Inhabitants. Also in the household is a 60 year old widow, Margaret McDonald, who is listed as a cousin.
John died in 1904 and is buried in St Margaret of Scotland Roman Catholic Cemetery, West Bay Road, Nova Scotia.
