Biography

James McCoy (b. KY 1799) married Sarah Fite (b. KY 1800). They married in Brown County, OH. James was living with Duncan McCoy there in the early 1800s. James & Sarah had 4 children while living in Brown County, OH: Chambers C. McCoy b. 1836, Mary Ann b. 1837, Charlotte b. 1841, Rhoda b. 1844. They moved away to Clark County, MO before 1860. James was from Bourbon County, KY-- brother (or perhaps nephew) of Elizabeth (McCoy) Fite (d/o John McCoy who d. 1813 there).[1]
