Biography

Lovel D. McCoy was born circa April of 1878, in Pike County, Kentucky; he was the youngest child of [Elizabeth Ann "Betsey Ann" Rutherford] and [Andrew Boyd "Andy" McCoy].[1][2]

On August 7, 1902, presumably in Mingo County, West Virginia, Lovel married Rebecca J. Stanley.[3] This couple had at least 5 children.[4]>

Lovel died from alcohol poisoning between March to May, 1911, according to his daughter Trula McCoy. His death was after her birthday in March and before his youngest son Lovel's birth in June.[4]
