Catharine (McCoy) Campbell was born in Manchester, Lancashire, England.

Catharine McCoy was born in about 1807 in Manchester, Lancashire, England.^[1] the daughter of Robert McCoy, a shoemaker. ^[2]

On 3 January 1841, in St Paul's church, Warrington, she married James Edelsten a widowed wire drawer. Witnesses were Peter Moors and Margret McCoy. ^{[2] [3]}

In 1841 Catharine was living in Brick Street, Warrington, Lancashire with her husband, a pin maker. ^[4]

When Catharine was about 39 she married Adam Campbell, a widower, on 20 September 1846 in Manchester. ^[5]

In 1851 Catharine was living in Brick Street, Warrington with 4 children and a granddaughter. Her husband was not at home the night of the census. ^[1]

In 1861 Catharine was living in Brick Street, Warrington. Her husband was a cotton dresser. ^[6]
