Ed was born about 1852. His father was Edwin Hopkins "Hop" McCraw. His mother was Hop's second wife, Emily Trussell (possibly a widow of Bausman). Ed married Lucinda C. or Lou Cindy Henley. She was born 5 July 1852. Their children were:
