Biography

Birth

Jane McCready was born on May 1, 1850 in Canada West, Province of Canada[1], the daughter of James McCready and Annie King.

Marriage

She married William Sullivan on November 29, 1881 in the town of Newbury, Mosa, Middlesex, Ontario.

Death

She passed away on July 11, 1930 in Moore ownship, Lambton County, Ontrio[1] and is buried in Moore Union cemetery[2].

Research Notes

  1. Jane's death record gives her given name as Janett (her son William being the source of that information. Yet the headstone refers to her as Jean[2]. Jane's granddaughter Eleanor Schendel always referred to her as Jane.
  1. The 1861[3], 1871[4], 1891[5], 1901[6], 1911[7] Canadian censuses and the 1930 US Census[8] all refer to her as Jane.
