Biography

Quinton was born about 1730-1740.

1768 Quintin McCreight appeared as a tenant in Ballyutoag townland, Templepatrick parish, in both 1768 and 1769.

10 Nov 1772 Belfast, Ireland Britannia leaves Belfast, Quintin McCreight and family were on board.

Dec 1772 Britannia arrives at Charleston, SC

26 Mar 1773 Craven County, South Carolina MCCRAIGHT, QUENTEEN, PLAT FOR 450 ACRES IN CRAVEN COUNTY. Names indexed: BREMAR, JOHN; HAMPTON, EDWARD; MCCRAIGHT, QUENTEEN Locations: CRAVEN COUNTY; FLAT BRANCH; TWENTY-FIVE MILE CREEK

Quinton received 450 acres 100 for himself and 50 acres for each person in his family under 16. This would indicate he had a wife and 6 children in 1773. The children would be born between 1757 and 1773.
