Biography

David was born about 1709.

He married Mary Harper on July 20, 1732 at Culleybackey Meeting House, Ahogill Parish, County Antrim, Ireland. (1)

He immigrated to South Carolina in 1772 on the Pennsylvania Farmer and was granted land at Jackson Creek in what later became Fairfield County. His sons, Robert, David, William and James accompanied him on the trip and also received land grants. (2)(3)

He died sometime between 1779 when he wrote his will, and 1794 when his will was probated. (4)
