West Springfield-- Arthur H. McCullough, 86, of 55 Van Deene Ave., died Sunday at a local nursing home. He was a 40-year salesman for Fire Control Services, Inc., specializing in municipal sales to area fire departments. He was previously an analyst for Perkins Gear. Born in Northampton, he lived in Springfield before moving to West Springfield 35 years ago. He was a lifelong member of the Musicians Union and had played the drums for area bands for many years. He was an Army veteran of World War II and Korea, serving as a Technical Sergeant. His wife, the former Mary A. Bolduc, died in 1998. He leaves three grandchildren and nephews and nieces. The funeral will be Wednesday morning at Toomey-O'Brien Funeral Home, with burial in the afternoon in East Leverett Cemetery. A calling hour will precede the service. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Lung Association, 393 Maple St., Springfield, MA 01105.
