Edward was born about 1868 in Rock Dam, Falls County, Texas. From his obituary: Prominent in Waco civic affairs and developments during World War I, he moved from Mooreville to Waco in 1907, where he resided until 1939 [?] when he moved to Marlin. For 35 years he served as a member of the board of the Methodist Children's home. For 25 years he was a steward in the Austin Avenue Methodist Church. He was a former president of the Texas Pecan Growers Association and held prominent places in several agricultural development associations. His farm and pecan orchards are located at Mooreville. Ed McCullough attended Southwestern University at Georgetown, Texas. He married Flora Graves in 1891. Edward McCullough was mayor of Waco, Texas from 1918-1919. He passed away in 1947. He is buried in Oakwood Cemetery in Waco.
