Margaret and William were married December 12, 1811 and it was recorded by Thomas B Clark on the 17th of December.[1]
Margaret must have passed before July 12, 1860 when the census was taken because she is not in the home with William.[2] Her grave memorial gives the date of death as Sept. 20, 1864, which is after this date.[3]
In the 1880 census, son Samuel stated his mother was born in Virginia and father in Ireland. He and his children carried on the names of his parents. He named a daughter Margaret and he has a grandson named Willie, after William.[4]
