Biography

Born William Murray in 1928 he went by Bill. He was the son of Harry McDaid and Mary "Dolly" Martin.[1]

A William Murray Mc Died (McDavid crossed out), seaman, born about 1929 in Saint John, Canada is listed in the ship manifest of the USS MC Meigs, a General John Pope class troop transport decommissioned in 1946 and then used as a passenger vessel. It sailed from Shanghai to San Francisco arriving January 16th 1947. [2]

Bill served in the Korean war. [3]

Bill married Muriel Dalton (7 May 1930- 7 March 1980) January 30th 1953.[4]

Bill and Muriel moved early to Toronto and raised their family there.[5]

Bill passed away in 2008.[6]
