Biography
Edward never married. He was a farmer, and continued to farm until 1935.
According to his obituary, he was a veteran of the Fenian Raid of 1870, having served at Prescott, Ontario. He lived until he was 98 years old. At the time of his death, Edward lived with his younger brother George and his niece Bella, and nephew William (of the Ottawa Fire Department).
He is interred at the United Church cemetery.
