Ruby was the daughter of Woody McDaniel and Viola (Thetford) McDaniel.

Ruby was married to Ralph Horton on May 7, 1932 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma County, Oklahoma. They were divorced. There was no children of this marriage.

Ruby never had any children of her own, but loved her nieces and nephews like they were her own.

She is buried in the new section of the cemetery by her two sisters, Etta and Lola. No picture of her headstone.

OBITUARY:
Ruby Lucille McDaniel Horton was born at Comanche, Oklahoma on January 14, 1908 and departed this life at her home in Comanche on Friday, October 25, 2002 at the age of 94 years.

She was born the daughter of Woody and Edna (Jones) McDaniel. (THIS WAS A MISTAKE. RUBY'S MOTHER WAS VIOLA THETFORD McDANIEL) She graduated from the Comanche High Scjpp; om 1926. She worked for the Mid Continent News Company, a Magazine Sale Company in Oklahoma City for many years and was a member of the Comanche First United Methodist Church. She was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers, Woodrow and Guy A. McDaniel, and two sisters, Lola Gray and Helen Youngs.

Survivors include one sister, Etta Mehring of Tampa, Florida and three brothers and their wives, Bill and Verla McDaniel of Duncan, Oklahoma, Ernest and Ann McDaniel of Palm Desert, California and Isom and Margaret McDaniel of Comanche, Oklahoma, a number of nephews and nieces.
