David was born in 1871. He was the son of John McDonald Jessie Breckenridge

He married Belle McEachran in 1895. [1]

They had the following children:

  1. Mary Belle (McDonald) 1896–1981
  2. John Penniman McDonald 1897–1979
  3. David Alexander McDonald 1900–1924

Belle passed away in 1901.

In 1910 David married Belle's cousin, Lizzie McEachran. [2]

They had one child:

Jessie Elizabeth (Greenlees) 1911–2005

David passed away in 1935.

Consanguinity

Isabella and David were first cousins. Isabella's grandfather John Ralston was David's great grandfather.

David and Elizabeth were third cousins. George Greenlees was their great grandfather.

DIES WHILE ON WAY HOME FROM WEST

Seized With Heart Attack, David M'Donald, Of Caledonia, Dies In Railroad Station After Being Removed From Train At. Omaha, Neb. - Had Been Visiting California With Wife.

David B. McDonald, 64, of Caledonia and a life-long resident of the Scotch settlement, died in the Union railroad station at Omaha, Neb., last night where he was removed from a train when taken ill while returning with his wife from a short visit with relatives in California. Death resulted from a heart attack.

Besides his widow, he is survived by two daughters, Mary B. McDonald, of Ocean Park, Calif., and Mrs. Ed Greenlee, of Caledonia; a son, John P. McDonald, of Glendale, Calif., and two grandchildren; four sisters. Miss Martha McDonald, of Roscoe; Mrs. M. J. Andrew and Mrs. M. Olive Greenlee, both of Caledonia, and Mrs. Jesse Picken, of Rockford; and a brother, John C. McDonald, of Beloit.

He was a member of the Roscoe Masonic lodge. Funeral arrangements have not been complete. [3]
