Christina was born about 1818. She was the daughter of John McDonald and Margaret McKinnon. She passed away in 1890. Christina married Keith McAllister of Arinacraig, Strath in 1840. In 1852 Christina and Keith migrated with their children to Victoria, Australia. They sailed on the "Georgiana" with H.I.E.S. assistance. They were accompanied on the voyage by Christina's married brothers, Lachlan McDonald and Norman McDonald, with respective families.

Two immigrant ships, not one. In the following press reports, the Araminta is mentioned. This is the ship sailed on by Keith McAllister's sister, Barbara (McAllister) McInnes - with family. Keith McAllister and family sailed on the Georgiana. Both ships reached Geelong in October 1852.
