Margaret was born in 1871. She was the daughter of Andrew McDonald and Mary Picken. [1]

She married James McNair in 1893. [2]

Mrs. McNair Dies Sunday

Mrs. Maggie H. McNair of Caledonia died Sunday at 7:40 p.m. in Highland hospital. She was 84 years old. Death resulted from a stroke and follows four years of failing health.

She was born in Winnebago county Sept. 22, 1871, the daughter of Andrew and Ellen Picken McDonald.

She spent her childhood in the Argyle and Caledonia area and attended the Argyle school. Her marriage to James McNair took place March 16, 1893, in Caledonia.

Mrs. McNair was a lifelong member of the Willow Creek church and was a member of the Woman's society of the church.

Survivors include three daughters, Mrs. James R. Greenlee and Mrs. George G. Ralston of Caledonia and Miss Grace McNair, at home.; three grandsons, Allen Greenlee, Thomas Greenlee and Keith Ralston, and three sisters, Mrs. Jesse Marvyes of Campbell, Cal., Mrs. John A. Thompson of Caledonia, and Mrs. E.W. Englehardt of Rockford. Her parents, husband, two brothers and one sister preceded Mrs. McNair in death.

Funeral services will be conducted Thursday at 2 p.m. in the Atkins-Johnson funeral home by the Rev. Lester Reemtsma. Burial will be in the Scottish cemetery.

Friends may call at the funeral home Wednesday evening.
