Archibald McGregor McDonald was born in 1909 in Wingham, New South Wales, Australia. He was the third son of George McDonald and Margaret Small. [1]

Archibald married Joyce Thomson in 1941 in Gunnedah, New South Wales. [2]

Served in the Australian Army 1941-1945
244th Light Aid Detachment, Electrical and Mechanical Engineers

On 14th August 1941 Archibald enlisted in the Commonwealth Military Force (Militia) for service during the Second World War. He was allocated as a Craftsman to the 244th Light Aid Detachment, Electrical and Mechanical Engineers. He was discharged on 23rd June 1945. [3]

He passed away, aged 79 years, on 29th August 1988 in New South Wales. [4]
